About AI Training Work

AI training is the human process that teaches models to reason, answer, and act safely. Contributors review model outputs, annotate examples, and provide expert feedback so models improve in accuracy and usefulness.

For medical projects, expert review ensures clinical reasoning, patient-safety considerations, and factual correctness — all essential for responsible AI in health settings.

  • Work is remote and often flexible, with many projects allowing you to set your own hours.
  • Tasks typically include evaluating model responses, fact-checking content, and authoring or editing clinical solutions.

The Role

As an AI Medical Content Reviewer you will assess AI-generated clinical and public health responses, provide detailed written feedback, and generate model clinical solutions that meet high standards of medical accuracy and clarity.

This is a part-time, contractor position designed for experienced healthcare professionals who can apply clinical reasoning to written outputs and identify patient-safety risks or inaccurate interpretations.

  • Type: Remote contractor, part-time (less than 20 hours/week).
  • Subject matter: Clinical and public health medical reasoning.
  • Data type: Text — evaluation, text generation, and question-answering tasks using non-standard labeling software (OTHER).

What You'll Do

Your core responsibilities focus on evaluating and improving AI medical content. Tasks are text-based and may include both rating existing responses and creating improved model outputs.

  • Evaluate quality of medical reasoning, including differential diagnosis and risk assessment.
  • Rank and rate AI responses for clinical correctness and clarity (EVALUATION_RATING).
  • Write model clinical solutions and high-quality healthcare content (TEXT_GENERATION).
  • Answer clinical questions and produce concise, evidence-aligned responses (QUESTION_ANSWERING).
  • Fact-check clinical claims, identify contraindications and unsafe assumptions, and flag misinterpretations of symptoms, tests, or care plans.
  • Provide clear, constructive written feedback to guide model improvements.

Requirements

You must meet the following mandatory qualifications to be considered for this role.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Health Sciences, or Allied Health.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a relevant healthcare, clinical, or public health field.
  • Demonstrated experience with clinical reasoning, including differential diagnosis and risk assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of disease processes, patient care concepts, healthcare systems, and medical terminology.
  • Experience reviewing, fact-checking, or validating medical content for accuracy and safety.
  • English proficiency at C1 level or higher, with comfort evaluating logic, internal consistency, and written patient-safety considerations.

Preferred Experience & Skills

These qualifications are not required but will make your application more competitive.

  • Prior experience in AI training, annotation, or clinical documentation review.
  • Background in utilization review, peer review, or healthcare editorial QA.
  • Familiarity with clinical guidelines and evidence-based sources for fact-checking.
