About AI training work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building intelligent systems. People prepare and evaluate examples — such as text prompts and model replies — so models learn to be more accurate, safe, and useful.

This job focuses on reviewing text: you will judge models’ outputs and help shape how generative AI responds in real-world situations.

The role

We are hiring entry-level AI Quality Analysts to review text prompts and AI-generated responses and assign labels following predefined guidelines. This is a remote contractor, part-time role open worldwide.

Work is billed hourly at $5. Expect under 20 hours per week; weekly targets must be met. Clear instructions and examples will be provided to ensure consistency.

  • Pay: $5.00 USD per hour (PAY_PER_HOUR).
  • Time: Less than 20 hours per week (part-time, flexible).
  • Employment: Contractor (remote, worldwide).
  • Data type: Text. Label types: Classification and Text Generation.
  • Labeling software: Other (project tool details provided during onboarding).

What you'll do

Follow detailed guidelines to evaluate and label text prompts and AI responses. Each response is assessed across multiple criteria and annotated accordingly.

  • Review prompts and model-generated replies and assign labels per project guidelines.
  • Evaluate outputs for accuracy, relevance, clarity, and safety.
  • Use provided examples and instructions to apply consistent judgments.
  • Participate in quality checks and respond to feedback during audits.

Requirements

This entry-level role focuses on attention to detail and the ability to follow written guidelines. Prior labeling experience is a plus but not required.

  • Basic English reading and writing skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines precisely.
  • Stable internet connection required to meet weekly targets.
  • Prior data-labeling experience is helpful but not mandatory.

Quality & evaluation

To maintain high labeling standards, your work will be subject to quality checks and random audits. Feedback will be provided and must be incorporated into future annotations to keep quality scores within project thresholds.

  • Expect periodic audits and quality reviews to ensure consistency.
  • Follow corrective guidance from reviewers if errors are found.
  • Meeting weekly targets and quality standards is required to remain active on the project.
