About AI Training Work

AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human work that helps machine learning models learn language and speech. Tasks include transcribing audio, labeling segments, and classifying clips so models become accurate and useful.

This kind of work is often remote, flexible, and accessible: many projects require language fluency and attention to detail rather than prior experience.

  • Work directly shapes how speech models perform and understand Bashkir.
  • Typical tasks involve listening, transcribing, and tagging segments according to guidelines.

The Role

We are seeking native Bashkir speakers for an audio annotation project. This is an entry-level, remote contractor position intended for part-time contributors.

Compensation is a fixed price of USD 300 (as listed). The project uses internal proprietary tooling for annotation and accepts contributors worldwide.

  • Employment type: Contractor, Part-time.
  • Data type: Audio. Label types: Classification and Segmentation.
  • Annotation platform: Internal proprietary tooling.

What You'll Do

Follow provided project guidelines to produce accurate, high-quality transcriptions and segment labels. Tasks are concrete and repeatable, with training and examples supplied.

  • Listen to Bashkir audio recordings and transcribe content accurately.
  • Annotate and label speech segments (segmentation) and assign categories (classification) per guidelines.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of your annotations through careful review.

Requirements

All role requirements come from the project scope. Please review them carefully before applying.

  • Native fluency in Bashkir (required).
  • No prior experience needed; training will be provided.
  • Availability to work 3–5 hours daily consistently, totaling 20+ hours per week.
  • Basic understanding of Google Sheets for simple tracking and review.
  • Entry-level role suitable for first-time annotators.
  • Worldwide applicants accepted.

Who Should Apply
