About AI training and data-labeling work
AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human side of building artificial intelligence. People prepare and review examples—like audio, text, and images—that teach models how to understand and respond to real-world inputs.
This role focuses on audio sentiment classification: your judgments directly shape how systems understand customer emotion in support calls. Work is typically remote and flexible, and many projects require no prior experience.
The role
You will listen to short customer support call recordings and classify the caller's sentiment. Each recording lasts 2–5 minutes.
This is an entry-level, contractor, part-time role open worldwide. The project expects less than 20 hours of work per week and does not require prior experience.

What you'll do
For each audio file you receive, listen to the call and assign one of five sentiment labels describing the customer's emotion during the call.
Follow provided guidelines and use the annotation tool labeled as 'OTHER' to submit your classifications.
- Label each call with: overly-negative, negative, neutral, positive, or overly-positive
- Each call is 2–5 minutes long
- Work in a web-based or supplied annotation interface (listed as OTHER)

No prior experience is required; the project is suitable for entry-level contributors. You must be able to listen carefully and make consistent judgments about sentiment.
There are no specific language or country restrictions listed for this job.
