About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a Finance and Investment Professional contractor to provide expert financial analysis that trains next-generation AI systems. In this fully remote role, you will apply deep knowledge of financial modeling, valuation, and capital markets to evaluate scenarios, prepare structured insights, and produce high-quality data that shapes how AI models learn to reason about finance and investment.

What you will do
- Evaluate and analyze complex financial models, including DCF and LBO structures, to produce robust AI training data
- Review and refine valuation methodologies for accuracy and relevance to AI learning objectives
- Analyze real-world investment scenarios and deliver detailed assessments of financial risks and opportunities
- Prepare, edit, and validate financial reports and forecasts aligned with industry-standard approaches
- Translate capital markets and fintech concepts into structured, AI-consumable insights
- Critically assess financial analysis and datasets, contributing to intelligent AI system development
- Communicate findings, logic, and rationale clearly in written form to support the AI training framework

Required skills
- Minimum five years of hands-on experience in finance, investment analysis, or a closely related field
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling techniques including DCF, LBO, and valuation methodologies
- Strong command of financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting
- Exceptional data analysis skills, with particular proficiency in Excel
- Solid understanding of capital markets and fintech industry dynamics
- Excellent written communication skills to document processes and explain complex financial concepts clearly

Helpful background
- Experience training or evaluating AI and ML models for financial applications
- Exposure to multidisciplinary projects bridging technology and finance
- Demonstrated critical thinking and strong attention to detail

Schedule and location
This is a fully remote contractor role with flexible scheduling. The engagement is project-based, and availability expectations are discussed during screening.
