The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting a part-time remote Finance Expert with a background in investment banking, private equity, or structured finance to contribute domain expertise to AI model training. You will work with document-based tasks supporting fine-tuning and evaluation rating of model outputs.

This is a contractor, part-time position expected to run 20+ hours per week. Candidates should be comfortable working remotely and indicating weekly availability as part of the application process. English is required.

What You'll Do

You will apply real-world finance skills to create high-quality training data that helps models reason about financial concepts, transactions, and analysis.

  • Develop detailed financial models and conduct rigorous market analyses to support buy-side and sell-side processes.
  • Prepare executive-level investment memos, board materials, regulatory reports, and investor presentations.
  • Perform in-depth credit analysis, review loan agreements, and check compliance with financial covenants and regulations.
  • Lead budgeting and FP&A initiatives and synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence and support deal execution from ideation to closing.
  • Translate financial findings into clear narratives that models can learn from and evaluate.

Requirements
