About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is a centralized job board for AI-training and data-labeling work. We aggregate projects from many AI companies and labeling platforms so creators of language, speech, and vision datasets can find open roles in one place.

Creating an OpenTrain account is free and applying to projects takes only a few minutes.

About AI Training Work

AI systems learn from examples prepared and reviewed by people. For speech and audio projects, that means listening to short recordings, transcribing what is said, and marking the portions of audio that match task guidelines.

This human-in-the-loop work helps models understand real spoken language, accents, and conversational patterns—making voice assistants, transcription tools, and other speech technologies more accurate and useful.

The Role

We are hiring native Gujarati speakers to join an audio labeling project as contractors. You will listen to audio clips, transcribe content accurately, and mark segments according to clear instructions. No prior labeling experience is required; we provide training.

  • Pay: Fixed-price payment of $115 for the project.
  • Data type: Audio (speech recordings).
  • Label types: Classification and segmentation tasks.
  • Tooling: Work is done in internal proprietary annotation tooling.
  • Employment: Contractor role, remote and open to contributors worldwide.
  • Schedule: Ability to work 3–5 hours daily consistently is required.

What You'll Do

  • Listen to short audio clips in Gujarati and transcribe spoken content accurately.
  • Identify and mark segment boundaries (segmentation) according to project guidelines.
  • Apply classification labels where required (e.g., speech type, speaker labels, or content categories).
  • Follow clear labeling instructions and quality standards provided during training.
  • Record task progress and simple metadata using Google Sheets as directed for task management.

Requirements

  • Native fluency in Gujarati (Standard Language).
  • Ability to work 3–5 hours daily consistently.
  • Basic understanding of Google Sheets for task tracking and status updates.
  • No previous labeling experience required; training will be provided.

Who Should Apply

This project is a good fit for entry-level contributors who are native Gujarati speakers and want flexible, remote work contributing to AI speech datasets. You do not need prior annotation experience—attention to detail and reliability matter most.

  • Entry-level applicants and those new to AI labeling.
  • People seeking remote, part-time contractor work with predictable daily hours.
  • Contributors comfortable following written guidelines and using simple spreadsheets.

How It Works

Apply through OpenTrain with your basic information. If selected, you will receive training, access to the project's internal annotation tooling, and instructions for using Google Sheets to track tasks. Work is completed as a contractor and compensated with the fixed-price amount specified.
