About AI training work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human contribution that helps models learn to produce accurate, safe, and useful language. Tasks include writing and rating responses, editing outputs, and creating prompt-answer examples.

This work is often fully remote, flexible, and accessible — many projects require language fluency and attention to detail rather than formal credentials, while specialist projects reward domain experience.

  • Typical benefits: remote work, flexible scheduling, and direct impact on how AI systems behave.
  • This role focuses on creative writing and response generation for conversational models.

What you'll do

Produce high-quality Italian responses to given prompts so the model learns natural, culturally appropriate ways to speak with users. Revise and improve AI-generated texts for clarity, tone, and correctness.

Work across a range of conversational scenarios, adapt register and style to audience and use case, and incorporate regional/dialectal nuances where appropriate to make interactions realistic.

  • Generate original prompt-response pairs and polished replies in Italian.
  • Edit and proofread AI outputs for grammar, style, and cultural relevance.
  • Provide variant phrasings, tone adjustments, and persona-consistent replies.
  • Follow project-specific instructions and quality guidelines provided by the platform or client.

Requirements & interview test

Core qualifications come from the listing: strong written Italian, creative writing or content-creation experience (5+ years preferred but not required), and a basic understanding of English to follow instructions. Prior experience performing WRITING tasks on data-labeling platforms (Remotasks, Outlier, Appen, DataAnnotation.tech, etc.) is highly preferred. Experience that involved rating or evaluating responses (without writing) is less relevant.

During the interview you will be asked about your years/months of relevant experience, whether you have performed writing tasks on data-labeling platforms, your portfolio or published works, and your highest level of education. At the end of the interview a short test will be administered: questions may be provided in English and Italian, and you must respond in Italian. This test significantly affects your qualification score.

  • Required language: Native or near-native written Italian; basic English to follow instructions.
  • Preferred: 5+ years creative/content writing in Italian and portfolio of published works (links or descriptions).
  • Preferred platform experience: writing tasks on Remotasks, Outlier, Appen, DataAnnotation.tech, or similar.
  • Interview will ask for years/months of experience, portfolio links or descriptions, and highest education.

Interview test questions (you will answer in Italian)

The final part of the interview is a short writing test. Questions are provided in both English and Italian; responses must be in Italian. The quality of your Italian responses will strongly influence your qualification score.

  • Question 1 (Describe a Character) — Italian: "Descrivi brevemente un personaggio unico e vivace usando un linguaggio creativo.
