About AI training work
AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human side of building machine learning systems. Tasks include labeling images, transcribing audio, rating model outputs, and more — and many projects are accessible to people with no prior experience.
This project is a straightforward image-classification task: your work will help models learn to detect people in urban driving scenes.
The role
You will review 100 dashcam images from a car driving in a city environment and mark which images contain people (humans) and which do not. This is an entry-level, short-term contract role for OpenTrain AI.
Work is done remotely using Label Studio. The job is offered on a contractor, part-time basis and can be completed from anywhere.
- Project size: 100 images (dashcam, city driving)
- Task type: Image classification (presence of people)
- Labeling tool: Label Studio
- Employment type: Contractor / Part-time
- Workload: Less than 20 hours per week
- Location: Worldwide / remote
- Payment: Fixed price of USD 5.95 for the project
What you'll do
Carefully view each image and decide whether it contains one or more people. Apply the provided yes/no or present/absent classification labels in Label Studio, following any brief annotation instructions supplied in the task interface.
- Open each image in Label Studio and apply the correct classification label.
- Follow onscreen instructions and any quick examples provided in the task.
- Complete the full set of 100 images accurately and within the agreed timeframe.
Requirements
This project is entry-level and does not require prior annotation experience, but you should be detail-oriented and able to follow simple labeling guidelines.
- Basic computer skills and reliable internet access.
- Ability to use Label Studio (you will work in the platform to label images).
- Good visual attention to spot people in varied lighting and angles.
- Available to complete a small project (100 images) under the stated time expectations.
Who should apply
Apply if you want short, flexible, remote work and enjoy image-based tasks. This is a good fit for students, freelancers, or anyone new to AI training who wants a simple, entry-level annotation project.
- No prior annotation experience required.
- Open to contributors worldwide.
