About OpenTrain

OpenTrain aggregates data-labeling and AI-training opportunities from many companies into one job board so contributors can find and apply quickly. Creating an OpenTrain account is free and applying takes only a few minutes.

This listing is for a contractor project posted through OpenTrain AI and managed via Label Studio.

About AI Training Work

AI systems learn from examples people prepare and review. Image annotation is a core part of that process: human labelers draw boxes and polygons and assign labels so models can recognize objects in photos.

This kind of work is often remote, flexible, and accessible to people without prior specialist experience — it’s how contributors directly shape how vision models behave.

The Role

You will label buttons and small UI elements in product photos. Each image file contains 5 or 6 buttons or objects (an icon with text below).

Because many photos include inclination and angled views, polygon annotations are often the most accurate way to capture button shapes, alongside bounding boxes.

  • Data type: IMAGE
  • Label types: BOUNDING_BOX and POLYGON
  • Annotation tool: LABEL_STUDIO
  • Employment type: CONTRACTOR
  • Open to contributors worldwide

What You'll Do

Annotate each photo by drawing bounding boxes and/or polygons around each button or object, ensuring the shape follows the visible button outline when angled.

Complete all required labels per image (typically 5–6 elements) according to the project's annotation guidelines in Label Studio.

  • Follow on-screen instructions and the project's labeling guidelines inside Label Studio.
  • Use polygons when button shapes are skewed or seen at an angle; use bounding boxes where appropriate.
  • Maintain consistent, accurate annotations across images to support model training.

Pay and Work Details

This project pays per label at a rate of $0.05 USD per label. The project is contractor-based and accepts contributors worldwide.

No hourly guarantee is provided; total earnings depend on the number of labels you complete.
