About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a contract Medical Specialist to support the development of healthcare AI tools and applications. Working fully remotely, the successful candidate will apply clinical expertise to design and evaluate conversational agent workflows, contribute to system prompt and rubric development, and facilitate multi-turn AI conversations that demand high standards of medical accuracy. This role is well suited to an experienced clinician who wants to bring their domain knowledge to the AI training space.

What you will do
- Apply advanced clinical diagnosis and treatment planning across varied medical scenarios
- Contribute to the design and evaluation of conversational agent workflows, ensuring medical accuracy
- Interpret diagnostic data and integrate findings into patient-centric care pathways
- Develop comprehensive health assessments and provide recommendations in nutrition, dietetics, and pharmacology
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine prompt strategies and quality assurance rubrics
- Facilitate multi-turn conversations with AI agents, offering expert insight and feedback to optimize system performance
- Stay current with emerging trends in immunology, medical genetics, and digital healthcare technology

Required skills
- Proven expertise in clinical diagnosis, medical knowledge, and patient care management
- Strong background in pharmacology, diagnostic interpretation, nutrition, and dietetics
- In-depth understanding of anatomy, physiology, immunology, and medical genetics
- Experience designing conversational flows, system prompts, and evaluation rubrics
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and empathy
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to medical accuracy in digital applications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting

Schedule and location
This is a 100% remote contract position open to candidates located in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. Scheduling is flexible, and the role is project-based.
