About AI training work

This project is part of AI training — the human work that teaches models to understand speech and conversations. Tasks include recording and reviewing audio so models learn natural language, tone, role behavior, and conversational dynamics. These projects are typically remote, flexible, and directly shape how AI systems behave.

Project overview

We are hiring native German speakers in Germany to participate in a paired audio-recording project. The study will include a total of 200 people arranged into 100 pairs/groups with controlled demographics.

  • Total roles: 200 participants (100 pairs/groups)
  • Age balance target: 18–30: 80+ (>40%), 31–45: 60+ (>30%), 46+: 20+ (≥10%)
  • Gender balance target: approximately 1:1 men to women, ±5% flexibility

What you'll do

Work in a pair and role-play natural dialogues across six real-life topics. Each topic is a 20-minute recorded conversation, and each pair will produce more than 2.3 hours of recorded material in total.

  • Topics: Banking, Telecom, Insurance, Hospital, Travel, Retail
  • Each topic: 20 minutes of conversational recording
  • Total per pair: >2.3 hours of audio
  • Role: act as a friendly and professional agent during role-play

Recording rules (must follow)

  • Recordings must have no background noise and clear, natural speech
  • No stuttering or long pauses; maintain a smooth conversational flow
  • Record each participant separately (single-side recording)
  • Use Zoom for the conversation and your phone to record ONLY your own voice
  • Phone recording specs: 44.1 kHz, 16-bit
  • Headset required so the phone does not capture the other person

Quality checks and acceptance

Submitted recordings will be checked for naturalness, adherence to the topic and duration requirements, and professional performance of the agent role. Failure to meet recording or quality rules may result in rejection of the submission.

  • Recordings must be natural and smooth
  • Recordings must match the assigned topic and minimum duration
  • Agent role must be performed professionally and consistently
