The Role

We’re hiring native Korean speakers currently located in South Korea for a long-term transcription and audio review project. This is contract, part-time work with a steady daily cadence.

Compensation: $14.00 USD per hour (paid per hour). Expected commitment is approximately 1 hour per day, Monday–Friday, for 12+ months. Schedule is flexible — complete tasks at a time that works for you each day within the required daily cadence.

What You’ll Do

You will listen to short Korean recordings and produce clean, standardized transcripts that reflect exactly what was said. This is not translation or creative writing.

You’ll also perform simple verification and labeling steps in the platform: flag unclear or unusable audio, mark segments that can’t be confidently understood, and follow predefined platform options and conventions.

Requirements

Applicants must meet every requirement listed below to be considered for this South Korea–based project.

• Currently located in South Korea (South Korea–based applicants only)
• Native Korean speaker with native-level writing accuracy
• Strong command of Korean spelling, spacing, punctuation, and standard writing conventions
• Comfortable applying strict guidelines consistently without improvising
• Able to handle imperfect audio and mark unclear sections appropriately
• Able to make careful listening judgments about similar-sounding words
• Can commit to ~1 hour/day, Monday–Friday, long-term (12+ months)
• Has reliable internet, a computer suitable for web-based tools, quality headphones, and a quiet environment
• Willing to complete a short Korean transcription screening sample before starting
• Prior transcription, captioning/subtitling, or speech data labeling/QA experience is preferred but not required
