About AI training in healthcare

AI training (data labeling, annotation, and human feedback) is the human work that helps models learn to give accurate, safe, and useful responses. In healthcare projects, clinicians review and improve medical content so models provide reliable guidance and empathetic communication.

This project focuses on obstetrics and gynecology: clinician expertise directly shapes how the chatbot answers patient questions and explains clinical topics.

The role

OpenTrain AI is hiring experienced OBGYN doctors to help train a large language model (medical chatbot) specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. You will review, validate, and refine clinical content and model responses so information is accurate and accessible to a broad audience.

  • Employment type: Contractor, Part-time.
  • Pay: USD 100 per hour (PAY_PER_HOUR).
  • Time expectation: 20+ hours/week (project lists this as the time requirement).
  • Priority given to candidates with the most availability.
  • Labeling work: text data; tasks include evaluation/rating and prompt-response writing (SFT).
  • Labeling software: OTHER.

What you'll do

Work directly with AI training teams to ensure clinical accuracy, clarity, and appropriate tone for patient-facing medical content.

  • Review and validate AI-generated obstetrics and gynecology responses for medical accuracy.
  • Edit and rewrite content to improve clarity, readability, and empathy for a general audience.
  • Create high-quality example responses and prompts to teach the model preferred phrasing and reasoning.
  • Evaluate and rate model outputs to guide future training iterations.
  • Collaborate with the project team to address recurring errors or gaps in the model's knowledge.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following substantive qualifications.

  • MD degree with completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in OBGYN.
  • Strong English writing skills for clear, precise communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to review, validate, and refine medical content for accuracy and accessibility.
  • Preferred availability of at least 15 hours per week (this is preferred but not strictly required).

Who should apply

This opportunity is aimed at board-certified or experienced OBGYN clinicians who want to apply their clinical skills to improve AI-driven patient education and triage tools.

  • Practicing physicians, clinical faculty, or experienced clinicians with obstetrics and gynecology backgrounds.
  • Clinicians with strong written English who enjoy editing clinical content and engaging with product teams.
  • Candidates worldwide are welcome to apply (remote work).

How it works

If you meet the requirements, create a free OpenTrain account and submit your application. The platform aggregates these roles and connects clinicians to contract projects quickly.

You will be asked to complete work as a contractor and log hours in accordance with the project's guidance. Tasks are text-based and involve both rating/evaluation and writing/refining prompt responses.

  • Project is remote and open to candidates worldwide.
  • Work is compensated at USD 100 per hour.
  • Label types: EVALUATION_RATING and PROMPT_RESPONSE_WRITING_SFT on text data.
