About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is a central job board for data-labeling and AI-training work. We aggregate openings from many AI companies and labeling platforms so people can find these roles in one place instead of hunting across dozens of sites.

Creating an OpenTrain account is free and applying to listed projects takes only a few minutes.

About AI Training Work

AI training (also called data labeling, data annotation, or human feedback work) is the human side of building intelligent systems. Models learn from examples prepared and reviewed by people — including code examples, prompts, and corrections — so that they produce more accurate, safe, and useful outputs.

This listing focuses on programming/data-labeling work: you will create and refine Python code examples that help models learn correct, context-aware behavior.

The Role

We are hiring an AI Data Trainer focused on Python. You will respond to prompts by creating and debugging Python code for small to medium-sized tasks. Your examples and fixes will be used as training data to improve model outputs across a variety of scenarios.

This is an ongoing contract project. We are looking for candidates who can commit 20–40 hours per week for approximately 3–6 months. The role is remote and open worldwide; employment type is contractor, part-time.

  • Data type: computer code / programming.
  • Label types: computer programming / coding examples.
  • Labeling software: other (project will use a provided annotation or delivery workflow).
  • Employment: Contractor, Part-time.

What You'll Do

Your day-to-day work will center on producing high-quality Python examples and corrections in response to prompts. Precision, clarity, and reproducibility are critical so models learn correct behavior.

  • Respond to prompts by writing and debugging Python code for small to medium tasks.
  • Provide clear, concise code that addresses the prompt and edge cases where relevant.
  • Document or annotate solutions where requested so examples are easy to interpret by reviewers and models.
  • Contribute consistently to an ongoing dataset used to train and evaluate AI code generation.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the stated educational and experience qualifications and be able to commit the requested time for the project.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the software industry with a strong focus on Python.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Previous experience as an LLM Trainer is preferred but not required.
  • Multilingual candidates will receive additional consideration.

Compensation & Time Commitment

This is a pay-per-hour contract role. Hourly rate: $8 USD per hour. You should be available for 20–40 hours per week for a roughly 3–6 month engagement.

Who Should Apply

Apply if you are an intermediate Python developer who enjoys creating clear, well-reasoned code and wants to help shape how AI systems generate programming solutions. This role suits professionals with practical industry experience who prefer remote, flexible, part-time contract work.

How It Works

To apply, create a free OpenTrain account and submit your application. OpenTrain aggregates the posting; the project is run by the hiring team and will provide the assignment workflow and annotation interface.

If selected, you will receive task instructions, a prompt set, and the annotation or submission process to deliver examples. Payment is hourly under a contractor arrangement.

  • Apply through OpenTrain — account creation is free and the application process is brief.
  • Work remotely; schedule is flexible within the 20–40 hrs/week commitment.
