About AI Training Work

AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human work that teaches models how to perform real-world tasks. For software-focused projects this includes writing and reviewing example prompts and responses, checking code correctness, and rating model outputs.

Contributors typically work remotely, set flexible hours, and directly influence model accuracy, safety, and usefulness.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer Subject Matter Expert (SME) based in India to help build and refine AI training datasets for Salesforce development scenarios.

You will author detailed coding prompts and model responses, evaluate and rank AI-generated answers, and correct biases or inaccuracies so models learn accurate Salesforce development principles.

  • Position type: Contract, part-time (less than 20 hours/week).
  • Pay: USD 24 per hour, paid per hour.
  • Work location: Remote, must be located in India.
  • Primary subject: Salesforce development (Apex, Visualforce, LWC, integrations).

What You'll Do

Deliver clear, well-documented code examples and explanations that teach models how to solve Salesforce development problems. Evaluate model outputs and provide structured feedback for improvement.

  • Create precise coding prompts and high-quality example responses for Salesforce tasks.
  • Review, rank, and annotate AI-generated code and explanations for correctness and clarity.
  • Identify and document biases, inaccuracies, and edge cases in model outputs.
  • Provide concise remediation guidance so developers and models learn best practices.
  • Work independently to meet quality and delivery expectations with minimal supervision.

Requirements

The role requires deep hands-on Salesforce experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent written English. All stated requirements below are mandatory.

  • 7+ years of experience in Salesforce development.
  • Proficiency with Apex programming, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk) and integration tools.
  • Located in India and able to work remotely.
  • C1-level English proficiency (candidates will be asked to describe their English level during the interview).
  • Ability to produce high-quality work independently and manage tasks efficiently.

Interview & Screening

To be considered you must complete a coding/skill test and a live interview. If you are dishonest during the interview process, you will be permanently banned from the OpenTrain AI platform.

During the live interview we will ask open-ended questions; for example, instead of asking whether you have C1 English, we will ask you to describe your English level. You must answer these openly and clearly.

  • You must be prepared to discuss real-world Salesforce projects you built or implemented, with concrete examples.
  • During the interview we will record an AI interview summary that will include your answers to these explicit questions: your highest level of education; how many years of Salesforce development experience you have; and the exact number of hours per week you can commit if hired (give a precise number
  • Open-ended questions are mandatory—expect prompts that require descriptive answers rather than yes/no responses.

How to Apply

Apply through OpenTrain with your resume and a short cover note describing 2–3 Salesforce projects you've delivered. Be ready to provide concrete examples during the interview.

Applications without clear details on your Salesforce experience (what you built or implemented) risk not being advanced to the skill test stage.

  • Employment types: Contractor, Part-time.
  • Compensation: USD 24 per hour.
  • Time commitment: Less than 20 hours/week (you will state exact availability during the interview).
