About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is a central job board for AI-training and data-labeling work. We aggregate opportunities from many AI companies and labeling platforms so contributors can find remote, flexible projects in one place and apply quickly.
About AI training and code review work
AI models learn from examples and human review. For code-focused workflows, that means people inspect, run, and score AI-generated code so models learn correct, secure, performant, and accessible programming patterns.
This role focuses on reviewing outputs from AI systems: your assessments directly shape how future models write and evaluate TypeScript and Angular code.
The role
We’re hiring a senior TypeScript engineer with deep, production-level Angular expertise to audit annotator reviews of AI-generated Angular code. You will build each snippet in a sandboxed environment, verify it follows the prompt, confirm it compiles and runs, and ensure it meets security, performance, and accessibility best practices.
Any annotator mis-ratings must be corrected and concise, actionable feedback provided. Every review must align with our quality rubric and help safeguard the data used to train next-generation AI models.
- Employment: Contractor, part-time
- Time commitment: 20+ hours per week
- Pay: USD $24 per hour
- Remote: Worldwide
What you’ll do
Perform hands-on validation of AI-generated TypeScript/Angular code snippets and the corresponding annotator reviews.
- Spin up containerized builds or sandboxes to compile and run submitted code and verify functional correctness.
- Confirm each snippet follows the original prompt and expected behavior before approving or correcting ratings.
- Detect and correct annotator mis-ratings, then add concise, rubric-aligned feedback explaining changes.
- Evaluate security concerns (XSS, CSRF, injection, supply-chain issues) and flag/annotate vulnerabilities.
- Assess performance best practices: AoT, lazy-loading, bundle size, RxJS efficiency, and relevant Web Vitals metrics.
- Verify accessibility (WCAG compliance) for UI components and note accessibility defects.
- Run or review tests where provided (unit, integration, e2e) and use coverage/profiling tools as needed.
- Log issues and track follow-ups in ticketing systems and collaborate through PR/MR workflows.
Requirements
You must meet the substantive qualifications listed below. We will rely on your professional judgment and hands-on verification when adjusting annotator ratings.
- Experience: 7+ years in professional Angular/TypeScript development, QA, or dedicated code-review roles.
- Angular expertise: Production-level knowledge of Angular v15+, standalone components, Ivy, Angular CLI, SSR/Universal, and state patterns (NgRx, Signal Store).
- TypeScript fluency: Advanced generics, strict-mode patterns, decorators, module resolution, and ES2023+ features.
- Testing & debugging: Skilled with Jest/Karma, Cypress/Playwright, Angular Testing Library, and coverage tools (Istanbul).
- Secure coding: Able to detect and mitigate XSS, CSRF, injection, and supply-chain vulnerabilities; familiarity with OWASP guidance.
- Performance & accessibility: Experience optimizing bundle size, Web Vitals/CLS, and ensuring WCAG-compliant components.
- Toolchain & DevOps: Proficient with Docker (multi-stage builds), CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab), and code-review platforms.
- Proof-of-work validation: Comfortable spinning up containerized builds to confirm functionality and prompt compliance.
- Structured QA practice: Familiar with rubric-based scoring, checklist reviews, and ticketing/annotation tools (Jira, Asana).
- Communication: Strong written English (B2+ CEFR) to deliver concise feedback and mentor reviewers.
- Nice to have: Exposure to LLM evaluation, RLHF pipelines, or previous AI/ML data-labeling experience.
Who should apply
Apply if you are a senior Angular/TypeScript engineer, experienced code reviewer, or QA specialist who enjoys hands-on validation, mentoring others, and improving AI-generated code quality.
This role suits contractors who want remote, flexible, part-time work and who can commit at least 20 hours per week to careful, rubric-driven review tasks.
- You should be comfortable running code locally or in containers and making fast, precise judgments about correctness and quality.
- You should be able to provide concise feedback that helps annotators and improves training data quality.
How the work is delivered
You will review AI-generated TypeScript (Angular) code and annotator evaluations using our labeling workflows and tooling (OTHER). Work is paid hourly as a contractor at $24/hr.
OpenTrain aggregates this opportunity and makes it easy to apply: creating an account is free and applying takes only a few minutes. Once engaged, you will receive tasks, follow a rubric for scoring, and submit corrections and comments through the assigned annotation and ticketing platforms.
- Data type: Computer code / programming (Angular TypeScript).
