About AI Training Work
AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building modern AI systems. People prepare and refine examples—like written dialogue—that models learn from, which helps make AI more accurate, safe, and natural.
This role focuses on writing and editing Spanish-language conversational content used to train and fine-tune large language models and chatbots.
The Role
We are hiring a Creative Writer (Spanish) on a remote contract, part-time basis to produce and improve conversational responses used in LLM chatbot training.
This is a U.S.-only role: candidates must be currently located in the United States and have lived in the U.S. full-time for at least 5 years. Applicants must be native Spanish speakers from the USA.
- Position type: Contractor, Part-time.
- Pay: $25.00 per hour.
- Preferred weekly commitment: 20+ hours; minimum expectation: 10 hours/week.
- Work type: Remote (U.S. residents only).
- Data type: Text. Label types: PROMPT_RESPONSE_WRITING_SFT, QUESTION_ANSWERING, TEXT_GENERATION.
- Labeling software: OTHER.
What You'll Do
Your main task is to generate authentic, culturally relevant Spanish dialogue and to improve AI-generated responses so they read naturally across U.S. Spanish dialects and contexts.
You will refine tone, grammar, and clarity; adapt language for different personas and scenarios; and ensure responses reflect realistic cultural nuance for U.S.-based Spanish speakers.
- Write original conversational responses and prompt-based outputs in Spanish.
- Edit and polish AI-generated text to improve naturalness and accuracy.
- Produce variations to cover dialect, register, and situational context.
- Follow detailed task instructions and quality guidelines for each assignment.
Requirements and Qualifications
You must be a native Spanish speaker from the USA, currently living in the U.S., and have lived full-time in the U.S. for at least five years.
Previous writing experience on online data-labeling platforms (Remotasks, Outlier, Appen, DataAnnotation.tech, etc.) is highly preferred—specifically writing tasks, not just rating/evaluating.
- Native Spanish speaker from the USA; U.S. residency and 5+ years living in the U.S. required.
- Preferred: 5+ years creative or content writing experience in Spanish; substantial writers get higher qualification scores.
- Portfolio of published Spanish works preferred but not required; be ready to share links or descriptions.
- Basic English comprehension to follow instructions and communicate with the team.
- Strong command of written Spanish, varied styles, and excellent grammar/editing skills.
- Experience with AI chatbot tools (e.g., ChatGPT) is a plus.
- During the interview you will be asked about your highest level of education.
Interview and Test Process
Interviews will include questions about your platform experience (how many years/months you have writing responses on labeling platforms) and your portfolio. At the end of the interview, a short written test will be given.
Test items will be provided in English and Spanish, but you must respond in Spanish. Performance on this test will significantly impact your qualification score.
- Interview will ask: years/months of experience writing responses on data-labeling platforms and for a portfolio link or descriptions.
- The interviewer (ChatGPT) will ask for your highest level of education.
