About AI training work

This kind of work—often called data labeling, annotation, or human feedback—helps AI systems learn from real examples. Tasks include listening to audio, rating spoken responses, and giving structured feedback so models speak more naturally and accurately.

Many projects are flexible and accessible: they can suit people with language knowledge or domain skills, and contributors directly shape how AI behaves in real languages and accents.

  • You assess and improve AI speech by rating and commenting on audio
  • Work has meaningful impact on model fluency, safety, and usability

The role

We are hiring Dutch Speech & Accent Evaluators to interact with an AI model in Dutch, provide audio prompts when required, and evaluate the model’s spoken responses for accent, fluency, and pronunciation.

This is a contractor, part-time role restricted to people currently based in the Netherlands to ensure familiarity with local pronunciation and accent variations.

  • Role type: Contractor, Part-time
  • Location requirement: Must be based in the Netherlands
  • Data type: AUDIO; Label type: EVALUATION_RATING; Labeling software: OTHER

What you'll do

Listen to AI-generated Dutch audio and rate its accent, pronunciation, fluency, and naturalness, then provide clear, structured feedback for improvement. Identify specific errors or unnatural speech patterns and offer actionable suggestions.

Act as an AI interviewer in structured evaluation sessions: greet and orient the model/task flow, assess linguistic proficiency, run iterative improvement cycles until the model meets target ratings, and close the session professionally.

  • Assess accent, intonation, pronunciation, and fluency in Dutch
  • Provide concise, structured feedback and examples of corrections
  • Run multiple iterations to improve AI responses toward a 7/7 target
  • Follow a professional yet conversational tone during evaluations

Requirements

You must have at least 2 years of daily Dutch use in personal or professional settings and be currently residing in the Netherlands. Familiarity with local pronunciation, regional accent variations, and common phonetic traits is essential.

A background in linguistics, phonetics, speech analysis, or language teaching is a plus but not required. Strong attention to detail and the ability to give clear, structured feedback are essential.

  • Minimum: 2 years using Dutch daily (personal or professional)
  • Must be based in the Netherlands
  • Entry-level friendly; domain training is beneficial but not required
  • Essential: attention to detail and clear written feedback ability

Interview & evaluation format you'll follow

During paid evaluation sessions you will follow a structured interview flow: introduce the task, explain the goals, assess linguistic experience, and guide iterative improvement of the AI’s audio until high ratings are reached.

Key evaluation checkpoints include linguistic accuracy, ability to spot accent/fluency issues, aptitude for iterative refinement across attempts, and clarity of your feedback.

  • Start by greeting and explaining the assessment process
  • Ask about the subject’s (or model’s) Dutch experience and describe phonetic/accent features
  • Run an iteration plan to improve from initial output to a 7/7 rating, documenting focus areas per attempt
  • Close with final questions, thank-you, and next-step explanation
