About AI Training Work — Transcription Annotation

AI models learn from carefully reviewed examples prepared by humans. In transcription annotation, contributors check automated or human-generated transcripts against audio/video and mark errors so models and downstream systems get better.

This role centers on assessing Swedish video transcripts for accuracy and clearly documenting any issues found with timestamps and severity labels.

  • You help improve speech-to-text and content understanding models.
  • Tasks require attention to detail, strong language skills, and clear written notes.

The Role

We are looking for Swedish annotators based in Sweden to perform video transcription annotation for a short paid test project with the possibility of longer-term engagement.

Work is contractor, part-time, and remote; the project uses a provided annotation tool (listed as “OTHER”) and focuses on audio within video files.

  • Company: OpenTrain AI (project posted via OpenTrain).
  • Employment type: Contractor, part-time.
  • Data type: Video; label type: Audio recording review.

What You'll Do

Review transcripts of video content and determine whether each transcript contains major, minor, or no errors. You will document issues clearly and precisely so they can be used to improve models and transcripts.

Provide timestamps and concise descriptions for each error, and indicate the severity level for every issue you flag.

  • Assess transcript accuracy against the audio track.
  • Label errors as major, minor, or none and provide supporting notes.
  • Record exact timestamps and brief descriptions for each issue.

Requirements

All requirements below are mandatory for this role. We cannot accept applicants who do not meet these criteria.

This is an intermediate-level assignment that requires prior hands-on experience and native linguistic ability.

  • Must be a native-level speaker of Swedish.
  • Based in Sweden (work location requirement).
  • 2–3 years of experience in video and audio annotation.
  • Strong Swedish writing skills and a keen eye for detail.

Who Should Apply

Apply if you have prior experience annotating audio or video, a track record of careful, consistent work, and clear written Swedish. This is a good fit for transcriptionists, annotators, linguists, or content reviewers who prefer remote, part-time contracts.

If the test goes well, there may be opportunities to continue on similar projects.

  • Experienced audio/video annotators and transcriptionists.
  • Native Swedish speakers who write clearly and consistently.
  • People seeking flexible, part-time contractor work.

How It Works and Compensation

This is a short paid test project with potential to extend into longer-term work based on quality. You will use the project’s annotation platform (OTHER) to submit your reviews and timestamps.

Pay is hourly at USD $22 per hour. Expected time commitment is less than 20 hours per week; schedule is flexible within the project’s deadlines.

  • Payment type: Pay-per-hour at $22 USD/hour.
  • Time requirement: Less than 20 hours per week, flexible scheduling.
  • Project begins as a short test; extension depends on quality and project needs.
