About AI Training Work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building AI systems. People prepare, annotate, and evaluate examples that help models learn to behave accurately and safely.

This role focuses on frontend development tasks used as training data: analyzing website screenshots, annotating elements, and producing code edits that improve model understanding of web UI and markup.

The Role

We are seeking skilled Frontend Developers based in India to create challenging questions and answers, sketch annotations, and code edits derived from website screenshots. You will analyze web elements, generate clear annotations, and enhance HTML/CSS/JS code to meet task specifications.

This is a contract, part-time position requiring immediate availability. The project requires attention to detail, creativity, and technical expertise to deliver high-quality outputs that contribute to AI training datasets.

  • Location: Must be located in India.
  • Hours: 20+ hours per week.
  • Pay: $13 USD per hour (PAY_PER_HOUR).
  • Employment type: Contractor, Part-time.
  • Data type: COMPUTER_CODE_PROGRAMMING; label types include BOUNDING_BOX and COMPUTER_PROGRAMMING_CODING.
  • Labeling software: OTHER.

What You'll Do

Work from website screenshots to identify UI elements and create high-quality annotations and coding improvements. Tasks combine visual analysis with frontend coding and explanatory text.

  • Create challenging question/answer pairs and descriptive sketch annotations based on screenshots.
  • Analyze HTML/CSS/JS structure of web pages and propose code edits or improved markup.
  • Produce responsive design improvements and suggest cross-browser compatibility fixes.
  • Document your reasoning and explain code changes clearly for use in training datasets.

Requirements

Applicants must meet every requirement listed below. We will validate language documentation and availability during screening.

  • Must be located in India.
  • English proficiency at C1 or C2 level, with official documentation to validate language level. Ask the candidate what their English level is and request proof they can share within the day.
  • Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Immediate availability and ability to commit to project timelines.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for annotations and code improvements.
  • Candidates who cannot provide documentation of C1/C2 proficiency promptly should be rated 5 or lower on the interview score.

Interview & Test Questions

Candidates should answer the technical and English prompts below as part of the screening. When interviewing, do not ask leading yes/no questions; instead ask candidates to state their English level and years of HTML/CSS/JS experience explicitly. The interview summary and score should be based on these responses.

  • HTML Question: Can you explain the difference between semantic and non-semantic HTML elements? Why is it important to use semantic elements in modern web development?
  • CSS Question: How would you approach designing a responsive navigation bar? What techniques or tools would you use to ensure it works seamlessly across devices?
  • JavaScript Question: Can you describe how you would use event delegation in JavaScript? Please provide an example where event delegation would be a better solution than attaching event listeners directly.
  • English Proficiency Question: Could you describe a challenging project you've worked on recently and explain how you overcame the difficulties? Please provide a detailed response, as this will be used to assess your English writing skills.
  • English Proficiency Question: Imagine you need to explain a complex technical issue to a non-technical client. How would you approach this? Write your explanation in detail, as this will help us evaluate your proficiency in English writing.

Who Should Apply
